Newsletter Sept 24
Welcome to our second monthly Newsletter!
The perfect place to see what we have been doing over the last month and to hear about more exciting things that we have up our sleeve…
It has been a busy September!
Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS to all of my amazing LAMDA students at both Patcham Juniors and Patcham High for their outstanding examination results: yet another year of highly deserved Distinctions. I can not even begin to tell you how fabulous these youngsters are – hardworking, enthusiastic and an absolute delight to teach. I currently have two places available at Patcham Juniors, should anybody have a child that wishes to join. If you would like to find out more about what LAMDA offers, please click on this link: LAMDA Exams
NB both my and Helen Hollingdale (my excellent colleague)’s Patcham High places are now completely full.

Last month, the after school clubs at Westdene and Patcham Infant school started back again with gusto! We have had dance routines, drama games, costumes and improvisations galore and it is wonderful to see the children growing in confidence each week – the joy on their faces whilst they are both performing and watching is utterly delightful and I am looking forward to nurturing their creativity over the next year.

The dates for the rest of the term can be found on the WHATS ON page on the website.

NEW CLASS! I am excited to have been chosen by The One Garden to host both my outdoor Tango Tots session and my Imagination Walk (with craft activity) once a month on a Tuesday morning. I had my first session this week and it was beautiful to be able to dance amongst the flowers, under the sunshine (yes, we had sunshine!). Definitely a feel-good activity; being amongst nature is so good for the soul. Dates and times can be found both on mine and The One Garden’s website. The next session is on October 22nd, at 9:45am.

Don’t forget our two local toddler classes: Drama Tots on Monday mornings and Tango Tots on Friday mornings (both at Patcham Methodist Hall) where imaginations are given the opportunity to run wild! If ever you want to drop-in, Mr Squiggles, Mr Pickles and Pip (our lovable puppets) would love to see you. Last week we flew an aeroplane to a magical land of cuddly cats, helpful unicorns and very hungry dinosaurs… This coming Monday, we have had a request for princesses and skeletons…!

Coming up in half term we have two events:
The Spooky Making Workshop on Tuesday 29th October, £10 per child, siblings £6, where we will have fun making at least 3 different spooky items (refreshments included). NB This is a parent/carer ‘stay and enjoy’ session.
You can click here to register your interest.

I will also be hosting a Halloween Making Workshop at the One Garden on Thursday 31st October, from approximately 10am – 1pm; price is just £3 per item. This is a drop-in session where you can make some amazingly spooky creations, after enjoying the Halloween Trail (tickets for which are purchased separately via The One Garden) or just come and do some craft with me ‘Witchy Woo’ and then relax with a delicious coffee and cake afterwards in the cafe.

Finally, I am very excited to say that I have entered the 21st Century and now have a card machine so I can take payments for all workshops and classes via this. Should your bank card be your preferred method of payment for any of my classes, do let me know!
Wishing you a fun-packed October!
