Happy New Year!!!

I know it is now mid-January, but Christmas was such a whirlwind that I am still feeling the need to spread the cheer! In the Chinese zodiac, 2025 is the year of the Wood Snake. The Snake, representing intuition, strategy and elegance and, when paired with the Wood element, 2025 emphasises adaptability, creativity and long-term planning. Already a huge fan of adaptability and creativity myself, I am continuing to work on long-term plans, so this Newsletter is focusing on the New Year timetable!

Talking of exciting plans, make sure you scroll to the end of this email for a fun opportunity for grown-ups too!

Party Time!!!
Since Christmas, it has been sequins galore with ‘Strictly’ taking the top spot over Frozen, as the most popular party theme! We do have Mermaids and Fairies creeping their way back up the party chart though in the next couple of months… Personally, I’m hoping that Mary Poppins is going to make another appearance soon, as she is my absolute favourite!

I currently have availability for themed parties on the 15th/16th /23rd February, plus a couple of weekends in March.
HALF TERM DATES FOR THE DIARY!

Tuesday 18th Feb – Puppet Making Workshop. Patcham Methodist Church

Wednesday 19th Feb – Tango Tots at The One Garden

Friday 20th Feb  – Puppet Making at The One Garden

SILENT DISCO fundraising fun!
As many of you already know, in September I helped to form a brand new fundraising group called ‘Friends of Patcham High’ in order to raise much needed funds, to provide wonderful enrichment activities for the students. Our first big fundraiser is coming up and I so much want it to be a success.

What better way to fundraise, than to DANCE! Yes! I am running 3 silent discos on 29th, 31stJan and 1stFeb – one to suit all tastes! Please find all the details below. Your support would be hugely appreciated.

 Wednesday 29th Jan

Morning walk/dance to The Chatri, from 10am (weather depending, dogs welcome).

Friday’ 31st Jan

Over 18s Silent Disco! Bar, snacks, lights (including glow lights). 7-8:30pm. Definitely one to grab a few friends together for a laugh and a much needed bop!

Saturday 1st Feb

Morning Silent Disco – children welcomed – at PHS Drama Studio, 10-11am.
Tickets are available via sQuid for PHS parents or Collectiv if you don’t have a sQuid account

The Friday is £10 a ticket but I am also offering the two other sessions on a voluntary donation basis.  Dancing is wonderful for our wellbeing (both our mental health and general fitness).

PLEASE spread the word,
Thank you.
